Paradise Cove truly lives up to its name, offering a perfect blend of luxury, tranquillity, and relaxation. One of the hotel’s highlights is that it’s an adults-only resort, taken to a level that is simply extraordinary.
One of the standout features of this resort is that it’s an adults-only haven,You can see this in every detail—from the serene atmosphere to the tailored experiences or 1:1 service that make it a perfect escape for couples. Whether it’s romantic dinners under the stars or uninterrupted relaxation by the pool, our time at Paradise Cove was a true retreat into tranquillity.
The ambiance was undoubtedly refined, yet effortlessly relaxed, fostering an atmosphere where we could truly unwind.
Arrival and First Impressions
From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warm welcome set the tone for our stay. They greeted us with genuine smiles and helped with our luggage, making us feel at home right away.
The check-in process was a pleasant surprise. Instead of the usual front-desk routine, we were seated comfortably in the lobby bar and offered local cocktails that immediately gave us a taste of the island. This made the check-in more than just a formality; it was a warm introduction to what the resort had to offer.
After check-in, we were given a tour of the resort’s facilities. From the inviting pools, including a heated option, to the various lounge areas and the three unique restaurants, every corner of Paradise Cove beckoned us to explore. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience, with plenty of activities to fill our days with both relaxation and excitement.
The Accommodation
During our 14-night stay, we enjoyed a Deluxe Double Room with a charming view of the Cove. The room blended modern luxury with the island’s natural beauty, and the picturesque view outside our window was a constant reminder of the paradise just beyond our door.
The room featured a spacious double shower, perfect for couples like us. No more waiting for our turn! The bathroom also had doors that could be opened to connect it to the bedroom, giving the space a more open feel and improving ventilation. This thoughtful design kept our clothing and personal items from getting damp. We also appreciated the smart TV, which we synced with our Chromecast for easy access to Netflix and Disney+. The TV setup was well-organised, providing instant access to essential information about our stay, including dining options, activities, flight details, and weather forecasts. Culinary Delights
Our gastronomic journey at Paradise Cove Hotel was nothing short of a revelation. With four exceptional restaurants to choose from, we embraced the Dine-Around concept, allowing us to discover the unique flavours of three of them: The Dining Room, XO, and Peninsula.
Each restaurant had its own distinctive vibe. The Dining Room, the resort’s main culinary hub, introduced us to contemporary Mauritian cuisine. XO transported us to the nuanced world of Japanese flavours, while The Cove offered a romantic seafood escape harmonising with the serene lagoon surroundings.
Our favourite, Peninsula, became our favourite, with its trendy setting and delicious tapas.
The combination of flavours, textures, and the vibrant atmosphere made each meal a celebration of culinary excellence. Amidst the stunning surroundings, the dining experiences at Paradise Cove Hotel became cherished memories that brought us closer to the heart of Mauritian culture and cuisine.
Though we didn’t dine at The Cove, we were not left wanting. The myriad options available at the other restaurants ensured that we were spoiled for choice, and the diverse culinary experiences we enjoyed exceeded our expectations.
While traditional room service isn’t available, the Stay Bar covered all our needs, offering snacks and cocktails that we could enjoy in our room whenever we wanted. It quickly became our go-to spot during the day.
The Peninsula Bar also deserves a mention, with its breathtaking views. We spent hours there, soaking in the stunning surroundings. The Sunset View moments on Friday and Saturday evenings were especially magical, with the sun setting over the ocean creating unforgettable memories.
I said "Yes"!
On our second evening in the resort, my partner and I experienced a moment that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Our dinner turned into an unexpected, beautiful chapter of our journey together. With heartfelt words and shining eyes, my partner’s heartfelt proposal and my tearful “Yes” painted a picture of love, destiny, and the start of an exciting new phase in our story. Our engagement at Paradise Cove Hotel isn’t just a memory—it’s a testament to the power of love, the beauty of unexpected moments, and the enchantment of a destination that holds a piece of our hearts.

The infinity pool near the Peninsula is undoubtedly the crown jewel, deserving its own spotlight. This exceptional feature stands as a testament to the breathtaking beauty of the resort’s surroundings and makes for an unforgettable experience.
Nestled against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean, the pool offers a stunning view where the water seems to merge with the horizon. We spent hours there, enjoying the warm water and the refreshing ocean breeze.
The pool’s design blends perfectly with its surroundings, creating an illusion of endlessness. Whether it was an early morning swim or a leisurely afternoon, the infinity pool provided us with moments of pure bliss. It wasn’t just a place to swim—it was a sanctuary of relaxation, offering some of the best views in the resort.

While the infinity pool at Paradise Cove Hotel may captivate with its stunning views, the hotel’s other pools offer equally enticing experiences, each with its own unique charm.
The Main Pool: A Serene Escape
The Main Pool (1.5 metres deep), is a peaceful haven perfect for those seeking relaxation. This tranquil space invites guests to unwind in a calm, laid-back environment. Surrounded by comfortable loungers, the Main Pool is ideal for a leisurely swim or simply floating under the sun, making it the perfect spot to escape and enjoy the serene beauty of the hotel’s surroundings.
The Lap Pool: Energise Your Day
For guests looking to maintain their fitness routine or enjoy a more active swim, the Lap Pool offers the perfect setting. Designed for continuous swimming, this pool provides a refreshing space to energise your body while surrounded by the resort’s lush landscape. Whether you’re an avid swimmer or just looking to start your day with a few laps, this pool offers a quiet, focused environment for your aquatic exercise.
For both these pools, the poolside service ensures that your favourite cocktails and light snacks are always within reach, adding to the laid-back vibe.
The Seawater Plunge Pool: A Refreshing Dip
For a truly unique experience, guests can enjoy the Seawater Plunge Pool. This pool, filled with invigorating seawater, offers a refreshing alternative to the traditional swimming experience. Its cool, revitalising waters provide the perfect way to rejuvenate after a day of sunbathing or exploring the island. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, the plunge pool is an ideal spot to relax and soak in the tranquil environment.
Sports & Entertainment
If there’s one thing I’ve learned during my stay at Paradise Cove Hotel, it’s that there’s never a dull moment. With so many activities on offer, I found myself with something new to try every single day—and still, I didn’t manage to tick everything off my list!

The main swimming pool, with its perfect 1.5-metre depth, quickly became one of my favourite spots to unwind. For those of you who love a good swim, the lap pool is a fantastic way to start the day with some energising laps. But trust me, you’ll want to take a dip in the Peninsula Infinity Pool—it’s heated in winter and offers views that are simply breathtaking.
Early risers, rejoice! The Fitness Centre is open from 06:00 to 22:30, so you can keep up with your routine even while you’re away. And if you’re into tennis, the hotel has two floodlit courts where you can get in a quick match or take advantage of the free 20-minute coaching session they offer.
But it’s not all about staying on land. The lagoon is a playground for water lovers—think kayaks, pedal boats, Hobie cats, stand-up paddleboards, and windsurfing. I loved the glass-bottom boat tour, where you can see the vibrant marine life without even getting wet. And for those of you into snorkelling, the underwater world here is not to be missed.
If you’re more about zen than adrenaline, the hotel’s got you covered. I tried out their yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, and Qi-Gong sessions—they’re all about finding that inner peace. One of my biggest regrets? I didn’t manage to squeeze in the archery session, even though it was on my list from day one!
And for those who love a bit of adventure, grab one of the hotel’s bicycles and explore the island using their Paradise Cove Mauritius geolocation app. Whether you’re into aquagym or just fancy a game of pool, there’s something for everyone here.

For those of you looking to splurge on something special, the hotel has a lineup of exclusive activities that are totally worth it. I got to experience a private catamaran cruise—think sun, sea, and a dedicated crew to cater to your every need. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, try kitesurfing with the ION club or take an e-bike tour to explore the island like a local.
Feeling creative? Art therapy sessions offer a unique way to relax and unwind. And for those who can’t resist the call of the ocean, the PADI-certified scuba diving is an absolute must. I also took a thrilling speed boat trip—it’s the perfect way to get your heart racing.
If you’re a tennis enthusiast, the hotel offers private lessons, sparring partners, and even high-quality tennis balls to perfect your game.

As the day fades into night, Paradise Cove transforms into a haven of relaxation and entertainment. I loved the live unplugged music every evening—such a chilled vibe to end the day. The piano-bar is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner cocktail, and don’t miss the weekly Sega show—it’s a vibrant display of Mauritian culture that you won’t want to miss.
But the real magic happens after the sun goes down. Stargazing at Paradise Cove is something truly special. Picture this: watching the sun set with a cocktail in hand, the staff pampering you with impeccable service, and then, as night falls, the sky fills with stars. It’s moments like these that make you appreciate the beauty of this place even more. Trust me, this is one experience you’ll want to add to your list.
Despite having an action-packed itinerary, I still didn’t get to do everything I wanted—archery is definitely on the agenda for next time. But that just gives me another reason to return to this slice of paradise. If you’re planning a visit, be prepared to have your days filled with adventure and your nights under the stars. Paradise Cove really is the ultimate playground for the adventurous soul.

For those who might not be familiar, SLH is a handpicked selection of some of the world’s most exceptional boutique hotels, each offering a one-of-a-kind experience with a personal touch—and Paradise Cove is no exception.
What sets SLH hotels apart is their commitment to luxury that feels personal and authentic, and Paradise Cove embodies this ethos perfectly. From the moment you step onto the property, you’re embraced by a sense of exclusivity and warmth that’s hard to find elsewhere. It’s not just about the stunning location or the incredible amenities—it’s the way every detail is crafted to make you feel like you’re in your own private sanctuary.
Staying at an SLH property like Paradise Cove isn’t just about accommodation—it’s about an experience that stays with you long after you’ve checked out. - Manoj, the two Jonathans, Lavish, Roy, and Yodish, who turned every moment into a celebration, ensuring we were always taken care of and pampered like royalty.
- Tulsi, the Alcohol Doctor and Master Rum Extraordinaire, whose knowledge and passion for rum opened up a new world of flavors and experiences.
- Ved, a remarkable young man whose work ethic and exceptional people skills left a lasting impression on us. We have no doubt he will achieve great things.
Conclusion
Location
I’d give this hotel an 8 out of 10 for location. While the interior is impressive, it’s worth mentioning that there aren’t nearby city amenities within walking distance. Taxis might be necessary for shopping. However, the hotel’s attentive service is reassuring, and during our stay, we did not feel the need to leave.
Price
The all-inclusive package for a Double Room at Paradise Cove hotel comes at a rate of 548 EUR per night, while the highest priced option goes up to 874 EUR per night. This option provides a comprehensive and worry-free stay that adds to the allure of the experience.
However, it’s important to note an intriguing aspect of the pricing structure: an automatic 500 MUR (Mauritian Rupee) tip is included for every service or product purchased. If you are not careful, you will miss it. This includes products, which might raise an eyebrow or two. Nevertheless, while it’s not budget-friendly, the adage “you get what you pay for” holds true here. The experience is one of relaxed, undisturbed luxury that justifies the cost.

There is so much to say about the grounds of Paradise Cove Hotel – from the restaurants, to the bars and pools, this venue is an oasis of calm and luxury. In addition, the newly expanded Spa creates a true sanctuary of well-being. This enchanting space invites relaxation and a connection with nature, offering an exploration of the renowned French brand “Cinq Mondes'” “Beauty Rituals of the World.” We tried the couples massage kiosk and came our more relaxed than ever.
Relaxation
For the adult-friendly aspect alone, I’d rate this hotel a perfect 10 out of 10. They aim to offer pure tranquility, serenity and worldclass service. Truly fabulous all-around.
