Hi, I’m Ralu. I review slow-luxury hotels for couples who’d rather stay somewhere worth it than rush through ten cities in a week.

My husband Hans and I left successful careers in marketing and sales to travel properly. Not the gap-year version, the slow one. We’re childfree, which shapes everything about how we travel: quietly, without a checklist, and usually without leaving the hotel as much as we probably should.

We’ve stayed in enough places that most of them blur together. So when one actually stands out, I write about it honestly. The good, the overhyped, and what nobody tells you before you book.

Off the blog, I run a brand and content studio called Brands Untamed, which is a long way of saying I think about storytelling for a living and can’t switch it off when I travel. It’s also why I care so much about doing this well rather than fast.

Making Miles and Memories is where all of that lands: honest hotel reviews, slow-travel guides, and the occasional strong opinion about a plunge pool.
